On Sunday 6 teams made up of families from all sections of the group met in Cassiobury for a photo scavenger hunt. The earlier drizzle and clouds gave way to warm sunshine as the teams battled it out to try and find and photo as many items as possible on the list. Wood lice, ducks, planes in the sky, someone standing in a river were just some of the 30 items that were the the subject of cameras and smartphones as competitors darted around the park before meeting up again to tot up the scores and have a picnic. Congratulations go to Guna Clarke, one of our cub mums and her team who took first place and the prize of £15. A massive thank you go to all who attended and particularly to Jo Burrows for organising the event which raised £15 for the group. On the day all agreed that it was a thoroughly enjoyable event and hoped that it might grow bigger and better in years to come.
This week saw the first meeting of the new executive committee. We are delighted to have Sharon Jukulis continuing on as treasurer and welcome Nikki Mitchell officially to the role of secretary. Paul Weston agreed to take on the position of Chairman just a few days prior to the meeting and with parent representatives and leaders all present along with Jean, our Group Scout Leader, we had a very productive meeting, albeit a rather warm one, in the upstairs room at the hall. A full list of the executive committee and the leaders can be found in the group section of the website.
