Our Colony

The 72nd Watford South Beaver colony is a friendly and active place for your child to join. we get up to all sorts of things, including a variety of activities at the hall, day visits, and even occasional sleepovers! We play games, do crafts, make new friends, explore the outdoors and create things.

We meet at the Trinity church hall on Whippendell Road on Thursday evenings between 6 and 7.15pm. We have 3 terms per year that roughly follow those of the state schools and whilst we don’t generally have weekly meetings during the half terms, Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays sometimes there are extra activities that might take place during these times that your child will be invited to participate in. The cost works out at £3 per week and we ask that the subs for each term, which generally last 12-14 weeks, are paid in full at the beginning of each term.

Our leadership team is entirely made up of volunteers who enjoy running beaver meetings! All adult leaders have training and are DBS checked (previously known as CRB), and there is always at least one adult present who is first aid qualified. You can see who the Beaver Scout leaders are in the group section and if you are interested in your child joining our colony or just want to find out more information please use our Enrol Your Child contact form.
